How Bad Will the Viaduct Closure be for my Commute?

REALLY BAD...

Go to your calendar and mark the dates January 11 – February 1, 2019. The viaduct closed 2 years ago causing traffic 2x longer than normal and beginning as early as 5am! In the past 2 years, traffic in Seattle has only gotten worse and this closure is taking place during the dark and wet months of January. It’s going to be bad.

The Silver Lining:

Everyone’s heard of telecommuting but many are uncertain as to the details. In short, it provides a flexible work schedule for your employees by no long requiring the traditional 8-5 work schedule.

Where do I start?

We are offering to share our top 3 tips for implementing your companies telecommuting beta test. If there were ever a time to test your employees efficiency, engagement and overall wellbeing by allowing a more flexible work schedule, January 11 would be that time. It sure beats them showing up to work frustrated after a 2 hour commute. Imagine them having that time back to actually do work… What a concept!

The Follow Up:

Telecommuting doesn’t work for everyone. If you find after the 3 weeks, it simply doesn’t work for your organization, that’s a successful test. If it does works, we’d be happy to follow up and share how you can redesign your approach to office space taking advantage of the new work model. Efficiency of space and lower rent are the two major benefits to consider.
